Member Corner: Meet Phil Winters from Western Aircraft

This month, we are thrilled to introduce Phil Winters as our Member Spotlight. We asked Phil a few questions about himself and what it's like working at one of the country's most successful aviation service companies and this year's Gala Platinum Sponsor — Western Aircraft. Here's what he had to say:

Warm Springs Airport, between Lowman and Stanley
 
Favorite place in Boise to take a visitor?
Downtown to walk around and experience the amazing variety and quality of restaurants
 
What is the most important trend in your business or industry?
General economic prosperity drives the need to fly, purchase, maintain, and charter airplanes.
 
What is the best advice you've received?
An early mentor in corporate aviation taught me that flexibility and creativity, backed by doing what you say you will do, is the key to a long and prosperous career in corporate aviation.
 
What is the number one reason to do business with your company or organization?
A foundational cornerstone of our business is to provide clarity in your aviation needs. Through a focus on active listening, we seek to understand your needs then recommend solutions to ensure a clear path forward.
 
What do you enjoy most about your company or organization?
With over 21 years at Western Aircraft, I can appreciate the people here as a primary enjoyment of coming to work every day. With over 180 employees, we have a great group of people that love aviation and love taking care of aircraft owners and operators. I'm also thankful that we get to represent airplanes from Pilatus and Piper, which are both aircraft manufacturers with history and quality.
 
Tell us about a current or upcoming project or company-wide initiative.
Our charter business, WestAir Charter, is undergoing tremendous growth in the jet charter world. The addition of the Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet will dovetail nicely with our PIlatus PC-12s into widening the aircraft available both to aircraft purchasers as well as charter clients.
