![]() This month, we are thrilled to introduce Christian Kilpatrick from Brick6 Creative as our featured member. We asked Christian a few questions about himself and what it's like using a childhood favorite toy as a unique business development workshop. Here's what he had to say: What is your favorite film? “Orange County” What is the best book you've read recently? “Experts of Our Potential” by Brian Fretwell What sport do you enjoy watching most? Football What is your favorite hobby or thing to do during the weekend? Reading Favorite Idaho escape? McCall Favorite place in Boise to take a visitor? Downtown Boise. We have the best downtown by far. What is the most important trend in your business or industry? In my business, the most important trend is to focus on the people of the organization and extract what matters most from them and use that to help the business. What is the best advice you've received? Be authentic and genuine about everything you do. Who is a local business or business person you admire? ShareTagg What is the number one reason to do business with your company or organization? We use a unique, non-traditional method that focuses on the people of the organization, rather than just the systems and processes. What do you enjoy most about your company or organization? I enjoy knowing that our methods to problem-solving are completely unique and that as an organization, we truly believe in questioning everything. We challenge the status quo and look to push the boundaries of what it means to be a successful business. Additionally, fun and purposeful play is the name of the game in everything we do. We make sure to consciously do those two things in every workshop and everyday business. Tell us about a current or upcoming project or company-wide initiative. We are working on creating a continuous event where new or aspiring entrepreneurs or small business owners can "build a business" in a week. Typically, something like that might take weeks or months, but we believe if we can get everything out in the open and unlock knowledge, skills, insights, and ideas in a week long workshop, a business can be "built". This is definitely a work in progress, but we believe we can pull it off in the next few months or so. Stay tuned! Check out Christian's spotlight in our Member Corner column of our newsletter!

Favorite place in Boise to take a visitor? MK Nature Center by the Boise Greenbelt. What is the most important trend in your business or industry? In 2019, more than ever, girls need to have their own special space — to try new things, to be engineers and entrepreneurs, to adventure in the outdoors, to raise their hands, to be themselves together, to lead, to grow, to thrive. What is the best advice you've received? Do justice, love kindness, walk humbly. Who is a local business or business person you admire? Megan Bryant, improv trainer, author, and speaker. Her bravery as a businesswoman is extreme. Plus she’s real and joyful and inspiring and funny. What is the number one reason to do business with your company or organization? So that every girl can discover her strengths and passions. What do you enjoy most about your company or organization? I am astonished daily by the passion, purpose, and joy of the hundreds of volunteers, both women and men, who mentor Girl Scouts, our next generation of leaders. Caring adult volunteers are the special ingredient when combined with robust skill-building programming, that empowers girls to empower themselves and that levels the playing field for girls from all backgrounds. Tell us about a current or upcoming project or company-wide initiative. We want to make sure every girl across our region has the chance to benefit from Girl Scouts’ girl-first, girl-led curriculum in STEM, outdoors, life skills and entrepreneurship ... and have a lot of fun and friendships doing it. Girl Scouts thrive compared to their peers in educational and life success. Research confirms it! We invite all business leaders, education leaders, parents, faith community leaders, and everyone to help form or sponsor “A Troop in Every School.” Check out Pat's spotlight in our Member Corner column of our newsletter! ![]() 1.
