Dennis Johnson to Receive Boise Metro Chamber Hall of Fame Award

BOISE, ID – The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Dennis Johnson is the 2016 recipient of the Chamber’s Hall of Fame Award. Johnson is the fourth recipient of this award, following Skip Oppenheimer in 2015, Nancy Vannorsdel in 2014, and Doug Armstrong in 2013. Dennis Johnson is President and Chief Executive Officer of United Heritage Life Insurance Group and its parent company, United Heritage Financial Group.
 
Johnson was selected for the award for his sustained, positive contributions to the betterment of the Chamber and support for its mission to advocate for a vibrant economy and outstanding quality of life. Johnson will be honored at the 2016 Small Business & Chamber Excellence Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 10th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Boise Centre.
 
Johnson is a past Chairman of the Board of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce in 2005-2006. During his tenure, the Chamber successfully supported the initial legislative approval of GARVEE Bonding to widen Interstate 84 through the Valley as well as the Boise School District’s $94 million facility bond.

Dennis joined United Heritage in 1983 as General Counsel and has served as CEO since 1999. He is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts of Idaho and the U.S. Supreme Court and has also successfully passed a number of securities licenses.
 
Dennis also served as Past Chair of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (2006-2007). He is the 2012 recipient of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Forum 500's Distinguished Service Award. Dennis graduated from the University of Idaho, College of Law in 1979 and Northwest Nazarene University in 1976.
