Reasons to Join the Chamber

IS THE CHAMBER RIGHT FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

WHAT ARE THE TOP 6 REASONS TO JOIN A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

1. RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
JOIN THE BOISE METRO REGION'S LARGEST BUSINESS FIRST NETWORK
One of the best benefits of joining the Boise Metro Chamber is building relationships in our region-wide network. Being a Boise Metro Chamber member isn’t just about networking, though — it’s about gaining friends, associates and even advocates. As part of the largest business-first organization in Idaho, Chamber members interact with new people frequently. The people you get to know may do business with you, but forging meaningful, lasting relationships can be equally fulfilling as financial returns. As a Chamber member, you’ll have ample opportunities to build new relationships as you explore all the Chamber offers. We recommend starting by attending annual chamber events, engaging in networking groups and programs or joining a committee. New relationships can crossover to improve non-business aspects of your life as well.

2. ADVOCACY
BE PART OF THE LEADING VOICE OF THE IDAHO BUSINESS COMMUNITY
As a Boise Metro Chamber member, you’ll be part of the leading business voice in the public policy arena. Advocacy is some of the most important and influential work the Chamber does with and for its members. The Boise Metro Chamber’s Policy Committee, which includes member businesses large and small, meets to discuss business-related issues, reach a consensus and weigh in on important public policy issues. The Chamber’s government affairs team works hard to advocate for business-friendly public policy at every level. The group publishes a legislative agenda each year to guide state legislators.

4. TRAINING & EDUCATION
LEARN FROM INDUSTRY LEADERS
Keeping your company’s staff trained and educated can take time and effort, which can be challenging, especially for businesses with tight budgets. The Boise Metro Chamber provides several training and education resources annually by hosting subject matter experts, industry leaders, and guest trainers who discuss varying business topics. Your Chamber membership includes participating in four (4) annual training and education sessions.

The Chamber’s Boise Young Professionals program offers additional training opportunities and Leadership Boise helps to develop tomorrow’s community leaders.

5. VISIBILITY & ADVERTISING
LET US HELP YOUR BUSINESS GET NOTICED
Being a Chamber member can help you increase your business visibility substantially. Holding a Boise Metro Chamber ribbon cutting, being interviewed for “Chamber Check-In” with Paul Fleming, networking at Chamber events, being highlighted on our social media channels and being an active part of the largest network of businesses in Idaho makes a significant difference for our members.

The Boise Metro Chamber offers a wide range of advertising and sponsorship opportunities, allowing your business to be promoted and featured in various settings. Many members find that our sponsorship options coincide with their company’s community engagement goals and values.

CONSUMERS TRUST CHAMBER MEMBER BUSINESSES
The Boise Metro Chamber is the only five-star accredited chamber of commerce in the state of Idaho. Awarded for our sound policies, effective organizational procedures and positive impact on the community, this distinction distinguishes our high quality, expertise, and leadership. By becoming a member of the Boise Metro Chamber and letting your community know, consumer favorability toward your business increases 49% according to a study performed by The Shapiro Group. The study also shows if a consumer learns that a business is a chamber member, they are 80% more likely to patronize it, have a 73% increased awareness of the business, and perceive a 68% increase in the business's reputation.
