During the second week in February 2024, our Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, Amber Hawton-Hill, attended the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E) 2024 Conference in Garden Grove, California. The organization and conference are committed to fostering education and enhancing the professional development of Chamber executives and staff. W.A.C.E. represents over 800 Chamber professionals in 21 Western states and Canada. When Amber returned from the conference, she had gained valuable connections with her counterparts from other Chambers (such as the Billings Chamber of Commerce, Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce), inspiring perspectives towards daily operations and execution of Chamber events, experience as a speaker for a break-out session on Branding, and (drumroll, please) a 1st place award for our weekly eNews!
When the vetting process was complete, our Boise Metro Chamber eNews had received a grade of 91%! This exciting accolade landed her a beautiful commemorative plaque, recognition during the award ceremony, some valuable digital real estate on the Communications Awards page of the W.A.C.E.'s website, and a lot of street cred for the rest of the conference!!
We're filled with pride about this accomplishment and are humbled to be mentioned alongside these other incredible Chambers who were also recognized for their outstanding E-newsletters:
