As the region’s advocate for business and the community, we have COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus, on our minds.  The highest priority of any business is to protect the health and safety of employees and clients. Our goal is to keep you informed by providing resources to help keep your employees safe and healthy.

Idaho public health officials are monitoring the coronavirus very closely.  Individual risk in Idaho is low at this time, according to the Idaho State Corona Virus response team convened by Governor Brad Little.  And, currently, there are no confirmed cases in Idaho.

The Boise Metro Chamber and our community partners are monitoring COVID-19 and its potential impact on our region. Some useful resources to help prepare your organization and teams include:

  • State of Idaho Official Resources Coronavirus
  • Reg. IV Central District Health
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • World Health Organization

What You Can Do:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Both of our local hospitals, St. Luke’s and St. Alphonsus have resources and recommendations listed on their respective websites.
