BOISE, ID – Leadership Boise (LB), a program of the Boise Metro Chamber, today announced the LB Class of 2020. As one of the longest-running, Chamber-sponsored leadership programs in the United States, LB has graduated more than 1,550 business and civic leaders since its inception in 1975. Through monthly day-long sessions, participants develop and enhance their knowledge and understanding of their community, including its complexities and potential. The program strives to foster new perspectives for creative leadership with the goal of providing participants with the foundation needed to expand their leadership roles in the community. Each year, the Leadership Boise Interview & Selection Committee is tasked with choosing 54 classmates out of an incredible field of applicants. “Selecting this year’s class was not an easy task. The candidate pool was impressive and presented a variety of backgrounds and experiences that was sure to build an amazing class,” said Lindsay Andrysiak, Leadership Boise President. “I am so inspired by each member of this group and know that individually, and as a class, they will affect positive change on our community now and well into the future! I look forward to watching them grow, learn about the community, and find new ways to be connected and involved.” This year’s theme is “Leading Beyond Limits”. The Opening Retreat, their first session, took place on August 17-18, 2018 at the YMCA Horsethief Camp outside of Cascade, ID. Participants heard from David Duro, President & CEO, Treasure Valley YMCA; Jim Everett, Co-President, College of Idaho; and Tanner Rohne, Associate Executive Director, Y Camp at Horsethief Reservoir. “This group of established leaders is curious, determined, and creative. I am delighted to have the chance to see them continue to connect with our community and inspire each other.” said Meredith Stead, 2018-2019 Leadership Boise Vice President. “I have no doubt that together they will have an amazing impact on our city over the next two years and throughout their own areas of influence for many more to come.” The Leadership Boise Class of 2020 includes the following 54 participants: Jessica Aguilar, D.L.
