Ten years ago, in 2013, The Boise Metro Chamber worked with Bogus Basin to create an event known as Chamber Day at Bogus in which during one day each February, Chamber members are given the opportunity to receive discounted lift tickets and equipment rentals. The event has now become an annual tradition that raises awareness about the incredible facilities Bogus Basin offers and additional funding through lift tickets and rental sales. The efforts of the Chamber and Bogus Basin support their mission to provide affordable, accessible, and fun year-round recreation and education for our community. Another mission for Bogus Basin is to serve as a top destination spot in the Treasure Valley for outdoor recreation because that helps drive the local and state economy. This year's Chamber Day at Bogus yielded a whooping 80 participants who enjoyed a lunch and appetizers. They also were among the first to experience the new Western Collective "high Peak Hangout" on the top floor of the Pioneer Lodge. To learn more about Bogus and this unique opportunity, check out our Chamber Check-in featuring a virtual discussion between Susan Saad (Director of Community and Customer Relations, Bogus Basin); and our very own Paul Fleming. They talk about how the Chamber originally pushed for a local ski resort, celebrating the 80 year anniversary, the best time to buy a season pass, the new RFID passes, and more! Special thanks to our sponsors for this year's event: Intermountain Gas Company, Experis, Western Collective and Renewal by Andersen.
