Chamber Ambassadors are vital volunteer leaders who assist us in growing and retaining membership. They are representatives of the Boise Metro Chamber who develop relationships with new members and share the benefits of membership with them. Sorted into small teams, they visit new members to educate them on Chamber programs and services, invite them to events, and attend grand openings and ribbon cuttings. For the month of June, our Ambassador of the Month is Ken Spencer! We asked Ken a few questions about being an ambassador and what he does for a living.
⏩ Ken: I love being able to add business-building opportunities for our new members through the amazing programs and services that the Boise Metro Chamber has to offer. There is something special about seeing new members host their first "Business After Hours" or telling everyone about what they do and who they are on a Chamber Check-In. Boise is a special place and everyone I meet with as an Ambassador has made a positive impact on me in some way. ▶ BMC: What do you specialize in at Zions Bank? ⏩ Ken: Here at Zions Bank I can help you with all of your banking needs, from simple accounts to more complex lending or wealth management scenarios. When it comes to small business lending I am the one you will work with through each step of the loan process and I pride myself in my involvement and follow-up. ▶ BMC: If anyone wants your help, how can they contact you? ⏩ Ken: Whether it is just banking questions or more complex needs you have I am always here to help, anyone can reach me at Kenneth.spencer@zionsbank.com or my direct line at the Boise Main Branch which is 208-501-7451. ▶ Thank you, Ken, for being such a stellar Ambassador for the Boise Metro Chamber! 🙌 🤩

Legislators, business leaders, academics, and policymakers from the U.S. and Canada gathered in Boise for PNWER's 32nd Annual Summit from July 16 - 20 to discuss regional economic best practices and trade concerns.
On Thursday, July 20th, the Boise Metro Chamber hosted a PNWER reception for attendees of the summit. Photos captured at the event are below. Thank you to all who attended! The Boise Metro Chamber is pleased to welcome Becca Proctor, Programs Coordinator, to the team! What are you most excited about in your new position? Becca: I am most excited about the nature of the job, working with amazing people, and getting to know Boise in a different light. I have already learned many new activities that Boise has to offer. In addition to learning more about Boise, I am also looking forward to working with the great group of people at the Boise Chamber & the Leadership Development groups. What is one thing you love and why? Becca: I love coffee because it starts my day on the right foot. It gets me up and energized so I can be on the same level as my 10-month-old puppy. Who is your role model and why? Becca: I would have to say my older sister Rachel. She is an elementary school teacher and always juggles multiple different activities. I admire her work as a teacher and the way she can balance work, family, and friends. She is always there to support me through all of life’s adventures and I don’t know where I’d be without her. Do you have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote? Becca: My favorite quote is from Dr. Suess: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter & those who matter don’t mind.” Welcome to the team, Becca! We're happy to have you! |
