The Idaho District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI-Idaho) announces the first Sustainability Conference in Boise, taking place March 6 at Boise Centre. “We are excited to have an opportunity with the Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate to bring in national speakers and industry experts to Idaho discuss net zero practices and sustainability initiatives. Working with national, regional, and local experts, together we have developed a wide range of resources and discussion topics to help our communities and the broader real estate and land use industry better understand the business case for net zero,” said Karlee May, Executive Director. The half-day program begins with a national keynote speaker over lunch, Billy Grayson, and then features seven different afternoon break-out sessions which allows for attendees to select the topics they wish to dive in to. The mixture of local and non-local speakers and panelists are coming from across the nation to contribute their expertise and knowledge to the Idaho community. “By channeling our resources and energies into tacking these important and pressing challenges we can maximize our impact. This is a great place to start, hopefully continuing these valuable conversations going forward”, said May. “There is also a tremendous amount of encouragement from the industry locally- the companies and universities who are supporting this program truly care about our environment and the real estate industry.” Registration for the Sustainability Conference is open anybody interested in these topics and how we can best move the needle in Idaho collectively. We are proud to be offering CM credits for planners as well.
