The Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has released the notice of funding opportunity for prospective applicants interested in becoming a grantee for the Small Business Transportation Resource Center in the Northwest Region which covers the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Grant Opportunity Link: https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=348344 Application Deadline Extended to: July 30, 2023 USDOT SBTRC Background The U.S. DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization established the Small Business Transportation Resource Centers as a network of grantees across the country, and these centers work closely with the transportation contracting community and other technical assistance providers to serve small and disadvantaged, transportation-related businesses. These centers provide technical assistance to small and disadvantaged businesses to build their capacity so they can become more competitive when bidding on U.S. DOT procurement opportunities and federally-funded contracts. Who is an eligible entity? Business centered community-based organizations, transportation-related trade associations, colleges and universities, community colleges, or chambers of commerce, registered with the Internal Revenue Service as 501 C(6) or 501 C(3) tax-exempt organizations can compete for participation in OSDBU's Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) program in the Northwest region (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington). Tyler Hall has been named the food and beverage director for Hotel Renegade. He will oversee all food and beverage operations for Geronimo’s three food and beverage concepts, along with all in-room dining and private event services. Casseopia Quick is named the director of sales for Hotel Renegade. Casseopia is a Boise native. She will be responsible for managing and overseeing the sales operations of Hotel Renegade’s event spaces that include a 2,700 square foot event space with a 1,100 square foot outdoor patio. These spaces will be available for meetings, weddings and other special events when the hotel opens in 2024. Robert Rourk is the general manager of The Warehouse Food Hall. He brings nearly four decades of hospitality experience to the food hall.
