Dear Community Partner,
First let me thank you for taking the time to read and consider this letter. My name is Kirk Carpenter, and I am the Varsity softball coach at Centennial High School. I cherish the opportunity I have to be a part of this amazing school, to carry on the rich history and traditions of the great coaches and players that have come before me. My experience in coaching has been in the organized “club” environment, as a newer High School coach I have come to the realization of some hurdles that our school has too truly be successful. As you are probably aware there are many needs for funds in our public-school systems, and each dollar must be used to its fullest extent to provide the education and safe school environment our children deserve. As a result, we have experienced a decrease in available funds for sports and extracurricular activities. Unfortunately for Centennial this has presented a decrease in the ability to fund improvements in our softball program for many years. We depend solely on fundraising and higher “pay to play” fees for our athletes. We are looking for partners like you to help us in creating a successful program that our players and this community can be proud of. As one of the oldest schools in the district we are playing on fields that need major updates, we have facilities that have not been invested in for many decades, the equipment and uniforms have been handed down year after year. My intent today is to find partners who will invest in our future!
Sincerely, Kirk Carpenter Centennial Patriots Softball [email protected]
