10th Annual United Way Book Drive – Help Kids Build a Brighter Future!

2/25/2025

Join the 10th Annual United Way Book Drive – Help Kids Build a Brighter Future!

Reading by third grade is a game-changer. It’s the #1 predictor of a child’s future success in school and life. Before third grade, kids learn to read—after third grade, they read to learn. But 61% of families facing financial instability don’t have books at home, making it harder for children to build strong literacy skills.
That’s where you come in.

The Children’s Book Drive is a community-wide effort to put books into the hands of kids who need them most. Led by United Way of Treasure Valley in partnership with Book it Forward! Idaho, this initiative collects and distributes books to children across Idaho. From early learning centers and Title I schools to juvenile detention centers, we're getting books into the hands of children who need them.

Our goal: 25,000 books. With your help, we can get there!

Donate new or gently used children’s books to help ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed. We encourage book donations in all languages! Drop off your books between March 1st through March 27th at any Treasure Valley Albertsons, CapEd or WaFd. Check our website for additional information on how you can make an impact!

KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP Merges In Bend-Based Accounting Firm Price Fronk & Co

1/18/2024

Picture
Medford, Oregon (January 17, 2024) – KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP and Price Fronk & Co.,
announced today that their professional accounting and advisory firms merged on January 1, 2024. This
merger combines the skills and expertise of two long-standing Oregon firms; KDP in Southern Oregon
and Western Idaho and Price Fronk in Central Oregon. The dynamic union extends the footprint, reach
and offerings of each company.

KDP, LLP was founded in Oregon in the 1970s and provides tax, audit, advisory, valuation and wealth
services. Bend-based Price Fronk & Co. has similar offerings in addition to a culture of relationshipbuilding; both of which are great assets as they merge with KDP.

“Bend is an intriguing market, and we see considerable value in the relationships and existing talent at
Price Fronk & Co.,” says KDP Managing Partner Mark Damon. “We’re looking forward to expanding
into this vibrant new market.”

Price Fronk & Co. offers business advisory, tax and audit services to businesses, their owners and high
wealth individuals. By combining teams and expanding the services offered, their strong client
relationships, uncompromising commitment to service quality and niche expertise are solidified
regionwide.

KDP now employs over 125 professionals, including 14 Partners and six Partners Emeritus. The merger
solidified KDP’s regional presence with three core office locations—Medford, Oregon, Bend, Oregon and
Boise, Idaho. As a merged firm, KDP is soon to be a U.S. Top 250 accounting firm and is the leading
firm in the region.

“With this merger, we can utilize our collective strengths to become more specialized with greater
horsepower. We will retain the personal service and approach we've always valued. Growth opens new
opportunities and I'm excited about our future ready firm,” says Damon.

Kara Pardue, Partner of the merged Price Fronk & Co. says, "Our dedication to providing exceptional
results and solutions to our clients and growth opportunities for our team members is unwavering. This
announcement is based on the foundation of two exceptional firms with well-established relationships and
shared commitment to our clients, team members and communities. Our commitment to our expertise,
integrity, and personal connections is our top priority."

ABOUT KDP, LLP
KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP grew out of the firm begun in 1976 by Daniel Kosmatka when he
purchased Deloitte’s (formerly Haskins & Sells) Medford, Oregon office, and later joined by Dennis
Donnelly under the name Kosmatka Donnelly & Co. LLP. In 2014, the firm joined forces with another
large Southern Oregon-based CPA firm and became KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP. In 2021,
the Boise, Idaho firm Whittaker & Associates, Inc. joined KDP, extending the firm’s footprint to Idaho.
In 2024, Price Fronk & Co. from Bend, Oregon merged with KDP to solidify the firm's regional footprint.
In 2021, KDP joined the RSM US Alliance, an alliance of independently owned CPA firms across the
United States and Canada, with global affiliations. KDP’s membership in RSM gives them access to the
resources of the fifth largest CPA firm in the United States, as well as the vast member network of
affiliated firms. This helps give clients the care and attention of a locally focused firm, with the thought
leadership, experience, and support of a global organization.

Since 2014, KDP has grown from 25 team members to an organization of more than 125 team members,
creating a firm that provides professional tax, audit, advisory, valuation and wealth services. For more
information, visit www.kdpllp.com.
