Visit Boise hosts the ROSE Awards (Recognition of Service Excellence) each April to honor employees in the tourism and hospitality industry who provide an exceptional experience for visitors to Boise.

In March, hospitality and business professionals form a nomination committee that selects ROSE award recipients based on enthusiasm and exemplary service. A Spirit of Hospitality recipient as well as three finalists for each of the following nine main award categories are chosen: ​

• Accommodations/ Lodging
• Attractions
• Bar/ Tasting Room
• Behind the Scenes
• Dining/ Caterers​

• Manager of the Year
• Retail
• Transportation
• Volunteer

Prizes include two tickets to attend the award ceremony, a trophy, a dozen roses, mentions in press releases distributed to local media, recognition at the event, and recognition on a plaque at Visit Boise's office in downtown Boise, Idaho.
