Earlier this year, the College of Western Idaho Board of trustees unanimously voted Gordon Jones to be the college's third president. Jones was the founding dean of Boise State University’s College of Innovation + Design and served in that position since since 2015. Prior to Boise State, he was the Evans Family Foundation Managing Director for the Harvard Innovation Lab at Harvard University. Tune into this virtual event to learn more about what is planned for this Idaho institution, which enrolls more than 28,000 students annually.
In Search of Civility is a web series presented by the Boise Metro Chamber and the Association of Idaho Association of Cities. It provides a thoughtful and open environment for guests to address issues of importance. Discussions focus on understanding differing view points, identifying honest disagreements, and searching for common ground on sensitive issues. The event is amplified by our media partners: Idaho Education News, Idaho Press, Idaho Statesman, and the Idaho Capital Sun.

Join the Boise Metro Chamber for our 3rd Legislative Update this session, brought to you by Optum and AT&T. We will be visiting with members of the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee about their duties, challenges, and opportunities as they analyze available revenue and state agency budget requests in order to set a balanced state budget. 2022 presents unique opportunities because of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed into law on Nov 5th, 2021. With Idaho’s state budget surplus, these funds provide Idaho the chance to address a variety of long-standing issues. Join the conversation on the chamber’s social media sites and those of our valued media partners.
