NONPROFIT SHOWCASE & BOARD SERVICE b|on board is a workshop for BYP members and guests to learn about board service, board openings and volunteer opportunities with treasure valley nonprofits. This signature event is held once-a-year in the Spring at the Boise Metro Chamber. It brings young professionals together for a nonprofit showcase and brief panel discussion. Meet local organizations and explore volunteer and board opportunities. Whether you’re looking to serve, learn, connect, lead-- or just feel good about the wonderful work being done in our community-- this event is designed to help you get plugged in. b|voting
FIRESIDE CHAT & NETWORKING BYP members and guests engage in a bi-partisan and informative discussion while reviewing the issues and initiatives that will be on the next ballot. This event is held annually in the Fall at an off-site, member location. We'll provide voter resources for information on voting in your area, as well as the various elections. Get answers to questions like: Who's on the ballot? What's on the ballot? Why do we vote for these positions? In what way will these issues affect me, my company and my community? Engage in meaningful discussion (fireside chat style) and casual networking at this event. Open to the public to attend and learn from experts, but registration is required. b|engaged ACTIVITIES
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING As part of the b|engaged pillar, BYP loves to support nonprofit Boise Metro Chamber members. Everyone is invited to volunteer with the selected nonprofit. Previous volunteer opportunities BYP has participated in include: United Way of Treasure Valley Book Cleaning, Salvation Army Fresh Friday Produce Market, Ribbon of Jewels Social Ride, and more!
