Boise Metro Chamber Announces 2025 Small Business of the Year and Chamber Excellence Award Winners

Scott Madison inducted into Boise Metro Chamber Hall of Fame and Tom Mortell named Government Advocate of the Year

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise Metro Chamber is proud to announce the 2025 Small Business of the Year and Chamber Excellence Award winners, Chamber Hall of Fame Inductee Scott Madison, and Tom Mortell, named Government Advocate of the Year.

• 2025 Healthcare Industry Excellence Award: Intermountain Hospital
• 2025 The Jim Moore Lifetime Legacy Award for Excellence in Travel & Hospitality: Morrison Center for the Performing Arts
• 2025 Community Engagement Excellence Award (New Category): First Interstate Bank
• 2025 Financial Services Industry Excellence Award: CliftonLarsonAllen LLP

The Boise Metro Chamber named Scott Madison, Retired Executive Vice President, Business Development and Gas Supply for the MDU Utilities Group (Intermountain Gas Company, Cascade Natural Gas Corporation, Montana Dakota Utility Company) as the 2025 Chamber Hall of Fame Inductee.

“Scott’s commitment to the Boise Metro Chamber spans many years. During his tenure with Intermountain Gas Company, he prioritized the company’s involvement in the Chamber, serving as board chair and making significant contributions to the business community,” said Bobbi-Jo Meuleman, President and CEO of the Boise Metro Chamber.

Tom Mortell, Partner at Hawley Troxell, has been named the 2025 Government Advocate of the Year.
“Tom Mortell has been a longstanding supporter of the Chamber, serving as Chamber board chair, Boise Valley Economic Partnership Board Chair, policy chair and consistently championing initiatives that strengthen Boise’s business community,” said Meuleman.
