Wepa Café to celebrate 3rd Year Anniversary with a Full Weekend of Events
Bringing Authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine to the Treasure Valley with a Social Conscience. GARDEN CITY, Idaho (September 8, 2024) –Wepa Café is expanding our Anniversary Party to a full Fiesta weekend on 9/20-22 to benefit ProTechos, our nonprofit partner in Puerto Rico. We will be transforming our parking lot into an island paradise for the weekend featuring entertainment who will bring the sounds of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton and more! Friday September 20th 6pm-10pm: DJ Rahkeem will kick things off with a Dance Party for our dining guests Saturday September 21st 2pm-10pm: We will once again be going all out to bring Puerto Rico to Garden City with a traditional Lechon Pig Roast along with other menu items we rarely offer in-house. In addition, we will have DJ Tomas spinning tunes from the Caribbean and Natalie from Onyx Dance Studios will be in attendance offering dance lessons throughout the evening. This will be a ticketed event. Sunday September 22nd 11am-2pm: Our first ever Latino Hip Hop Brunch with DJ Rahkeem spinning Reggaeton while guest enjoy a special Brunch Buffet As always, a major component of our Anniversary is our fundraising efforts to PRoTechos, a non-profit corporation based in Puerto Rico, (www.protechos.org), founded with the dual mission of rebuilding damaged roofs in underserved communities throughout the island while providing residents with basic carpentry training, addressing both housing needs and the shortage of skilled construction workers in Puerto Rico. We will be auctioning off prizes generously donated by many of our vendor partners, including our local beer and wine partners with 100% of the proceeds going directly to PRoTechos.
