United Way of Treasure Valley is organizing supplies to support students experiencing homelessness Supplies Needed When? Now through November 6th. Where? Drop off, or send by Amazon, some of the much-needed shelf-stable food and hygiene items (food stamps don’t buy these) sic needs supplies to United Way of Treasure Valley: 3100 S. Vista Ave., Ste. 100, Boise, ID 83705 Who will receive these care packages? Local children (grades K-12) who are experiencing homelessness. What? These care packages are filled to the brim with grab-and-go type foods and hygiene items (food stamps cannot buy these) and are assembled by volunteers. We deliver the care packages directly to the school nurses, counselors, and coordinators who notify us of the children’s needs. Each year, United Way serves the 3,500 children who fall into this category through a wide variety of programs and services including Holiday Helper.
