BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation (IWCF) will mark a milestone of 25
years of community impact with "A Legacy of Giving – 25 Years and Beyond," a half-day
celebration on Wednesday, October 1, 2026 at Boise Centre West.

Since 2001, IWCF's more than 440 members have pooled their philanthropic resources,
providing $3.8 million in funding to the Southwest Idaho nonprofit community. That
support has reached 158 projects through the organization's Pooled-Fund Grants program,
alongside ongoing education and volunteer efforts that deepen members' commitment to
informed giving.

The anniversary event opens with breakout sessions exploring the state of the nonprofit sector,
charitable giving strategies and techniques for donors at every stage, and observations from
successful local foundations. The morning culminates in a celebration luncheon honoring
IWCF's current and past members and grantees, where attendees will experience the
excitement of awarding, live, ten grantee gifts of $2,500, for a total of $25,000.

Keynote speaker Rhoda L. Altom, president of Milestone Properties and a founder of the
Washington Women's Foundation, will share her philanthropic journey and the opportunities she
has found to create lasting community change. Altom founded Milestone Properties Inc, a real
estate investment firm specializing in acquiring and managing apartment properties that provide
dignified, affordable housing in the Puget Sound area. She serves on the boards of the WSU
College of Engineering Advisory Board and the Frye Museum, and is a founder and trustee of
several philanthropic organizations, including the National Park Foundation's National Council,
Washington Women's Foundation, YWCA Endowment Guild, and the Pediatric Brain Tumor
Research Fund and its Guild at Children's Hospital.
