Please send thoughts or concerns to [email protected] PRESS RELEASE On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC) Board of Commissioners will consider proposed updates for daily maximum, monthly, hotel, and related parking rates across its ParkBOI downtown public parking system. The proposal would limit the all-day First Hour Free program to the hours of 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. No changes are proposed to the standard $3.00 hourly rate. In response to customer requests for more convenient, flexible and cost-effective parking options, the Agency also proposes expanding its system-wide parking offerings with three new products and two expanded and modified products:
https://ccdcboise.com/parking/proposed-parking-rates/. If approved, the new rates and products will take effect no earlier than June 1, 2026. ParkBOI periodically adjusts site-specific pricing to help manage demand, maximize utilization of its parking garage system, and fund operations. Revenue generated from these adjustments will support two complementary priorities: maintaining and improving the existing parking system and expanding parking infrastructure. The Agency will invest more than $15 million of ParkBOI funds in parking maintenance and modernization efforts over the next five years. In addition, between 2026 and 2030 the Agency anticipates investing more than $55 million in neighborhood revitalization and the expansion of the ParkBOI system through two new mixed-use public parking garages at 1010 W. Jefferson Street and in the Lusk Neighborhood. Together, these projects will add more than 775 new parking stalls to the ParkBOI system. The CCDC Board of Commissioners will consider the proposed changes at its regular monthly meeting on April 13, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the CCDC Board Room, 121 N. 9th Street, Suite 501. Interested stakeholders and community members are invited to provide feedback in-person at the April 13 meeting or to submit written comments by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, to the address above or to [email protected].
