Idaho-Grown Firm Sorren Names Josh Tyree CEO, Continuing Treasure Valley-Rooted Leadership on a National Stage​

[Meridian, Idaho] – January 20, 2026 -- Sorren, a Top 50 national tax, accounting, and advisory firm founded in the Treasure Valley, has announced the appointment of Josh Tyree as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 20, 2026. Tyree previously served as President and has played a central role in the firm’s growth from its Idaho beginnings to a national platform.

Founded in Idaho in 1996 as Harris & Co., Sorren has grown into the largest Idaho-based accounting and advisory firm, while remaining deeply rooted in the local business community. The firm’s expansion has brought national opportunities and long-term investment back to its Treasure Valley headquarters – supporting jobs, leadership development, and economic growth across the state, while strengthening local businesses through expanded service capabilities.

Today, Tyree is widely known within Idaho’s business community as a collaborative, values-driven leader committed to both professional excellence and community impact.

Wish Granters Expands Services into Boise County

Boise, Idaho — January 14, 2026 Wish Granters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting wishes for adults battling terminal illnesses, is excited to announce its expansion into Boise County. This marks the fourth county served by Wish Granters, alongside Ada, Canyon, and Gem counties.

Founded in 2010, Wish Granters has granted more than 500 wishes, bringing hope, joy, and lasting memories to individuals and their loved ones during some of life’s most difficult moments. By extending services into Boise County, the organization will reach more Idahoans in need of comfort, connection, and encouragement.

“Our mission has always been to meet people where they are and provide meaningful experiences that bring light into challenging times,” said Kristin Jackson, President of Wish Granters. “Expanding into Boise County allows us to honor more stories, touch more lives, and continue the legacy of compassion that began with our very first wish.”

2026 Sun Valley Food & Wine Celebration January 27-31, 2026

Five Days with 17 Celebrity Chefs and NEW Wine Tasting & Seafood Extravaganza, VIP Gala at the Sun Valley Clubhouse, Special Dinner and DJ at Trail Creek Cabin and much mor
KETCHUM, IDAHO—The Sun Valley Culinary Institute (SVCI) celebrates its fourth annual Sun Valley Food & Wine Celebration, from January 27 to 31, 2026, featuring 17 chefs, including James Beard Award-winning chefs, acclaimed restaurateurs, Food Network celebrities and influencers.
 
For 2026, The Celebration has expanded with the debut of the Wine Tasting & Seafood Extravaganza at the Limelight Hotel Ketchum, the VIP Gala at the Sun Valley Clubhouse and a special Dinner and DJ at Trail Creek Cabin. In addition, this year’s event features the third annual Après Ski Grand Tasting at the Limelight Ketchum and the fourth annual après-ski Britt’s Burger Bash, which is open to the community.
 
“In just four short years, the Sun Valley Food & Wine Celebration has become a signature highlight of the Sun Valley winter season,” said SVCI Executive Director Karl Uri. “With 17 celebrity and James Beard Award–winning chefs joining us, the momentum and growth have been extraordinary. What excites me most is the impact on our students—these chefs roll up their sleeves, work side by side with them, and open doors to training, mentorship and professional connections that will shape their futures in this industry.”
 
The Celebration will also feature numerous cooking classes and other food-inspired events throughout this five-day culinary experience in Sun Valley. Returning Chefs include Barton Seaver, John Sundstrom, Jason Wilson, Kelsey Barnard Clark and Steve Phelps, who will join new Celebration participants Chefs Casey Thompson, Duskie Estes & John Stewart, Joe Sasto, Brandon Randolph, Kris Padalino, Maria Mazon, Brother Luck and Chef and American food influencer Tieghan Gerard. Back for their fourth year are Chefs Ethan Stowell, Jonathon Sawyer and Britt Rescigno.

Amber Mednicoff Joins First Interstate Bank as Retail Manager

BOISE, Idaho, December 19, 2025—Amber Mednicoff has joined First Interstate Bank as a Retail Manager. In this role, Mednicoff is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships utilizing the full spectrum of banking services.
 
Mednicoff has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, previously serving in several roles, including teller, lead teller, teller line manager, call center manager, and retail branch manager at Wells Fargo and First PREMIER Bank.

“I am excited for the opportunity to grow with the bank and help transform the Boise W. Overland branch into a thriving and impactful location,” Mednicoff said.

 
Mednicoff has been involved in several community initiatives, including United Way, Junior Achievement, Salvation Army, and Kids Against Hunger. IFP Connect Earns Back-to-Back Gold Innovators Awards
