Rachel Flachbart Sladek serves as the Director of Development at the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (Idaho AEYC). Rachel grew up in Boise, ID, and attended Bishop Kelly High School, followed by attending college at the College of Idaho. She graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts, having majored in history, and completed minors in Spanish, education, and natural sciences. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Rachel interned with political officials, a nonprofit organization, and out in Washington D.C.
After graduating from college, Rachel moved back out to Washington D.C., where she worked for US Congress. Rachel moved back to Boise in 2015 and since then has worked in education, digital marketing, and nonprofits. She previously worked in development at CATCH and Bishop Kelly High School. Rachel received her master’s degree in communication from Purdue University in 2022, with an emphasis on strategic communications and public relations, and was selected to be a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society while attending. She is the 2023-25 Boise Young Professionals President, a program of the Boise Metro Chamber. She was recognized in 2022 as part of Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished Under 40 and in 2020 was awarded Boise Young Professional’s Outreach Team Member of the Year. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, being outdoors with her husband and their dog, Blair, and taking Peloton classes. Rachel is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that shaped her into who she is today. |

prosperitas financial Kieran Wong is a financial advisor with Prosperitas Financial. He holds Securities 7, 66 & SEI licenses and has taken specialized courses in various areas of the planning process. Kieran specializes in understanding the complete picture of his client’s lives through a comprehensive financial planning process. He then constructs customized portfolios, which address those needs and anticipates any future concerns. His passion is to help his clients determine what their dreams are, develop an action plan and ultimately achieve them. He has always been active in his community, as a board member of Family Promise, president of the Jaycees, founder of the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund and recipient of the Outstanding Young State Award in 2003. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 13, one of the youngest on record in the history of the Boy Scouts. Kieran is an active member of his church and community in Hidden Springs. idaho housing & finance Heather Bowman is the Finally Home! Manager for Idaho Housing and Finance Association. Heather directs homebuyer education and housing counseling efforts statewide and nationally through Idaho Housing’s network of housing counselors. She also oversees the Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education program, an industry-leading online course that helps first-time buyers navigate the home-buying process and become successful homeowners. Before working at Idaho Housing, Heather was the executive officer at the Nampa Association of REALTORS®. She also administered professional standards and education for the Ada County Association of REALTORS® (now Boise Regional REALTORS®). She is a certified distance education instructor and holds bachelor’s degrees in sociology and communication from the University of Montana and a master’s degree in public administration from Boise State University. |

She has been coaching for more than 25 years, first as the Boise State Women’s basketball coach and most recently as a professionally trained executive leadership coach with her coaching and consulting company - Team of Allies. Trisha is also a member of the graduate faculty at Boise State University and currently is the director of the Full-time MBA program and works with all of our graduate accounting programs. Her work with the business school centers around helping students reach their full potential through mentorship, career development and personal and professional growth. She has an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and both an MBA and Graduate Certificate in Conflict Management from Boise State University. In her spare time, you can find Trisha in the Oregon or Idaho mountains hiking, camping, skiing, fly fishing or mountain biking with her husband of 30 years, three adult children and/or her dog Wally. He led global leadership development programs at Hewlett Packard, leadership training and coaching programs at St. Luke’s, taught leadership in Boise State’s MBA program, and served as the Chief People Officer (CHRO) at Idaho Youth Ranch. global bound Mike Krause's Mike Krause is the Chief Coaching & Consulting Officer with Global Bound LLC, working with nonprofit leaders, their talent, and boards to harness mental performance hurdles in order to enhance psychological wellbeing and optimize performance. Through personalized 1-on-1 and group coaching programs, Mike crafts and implements tailored solutions for organizational leaders and their workplace culture. Over the past 25 years, Mike has worked in the non-profit arena, holding various executive leadership roles. He served 4 ½ years with the U.S. Department of State in Southern and Central Africa, working on public health initiatives. Most recently he helped implement support programs in Boise for families in medical crisis. |

Idaho technology council Jay Larsen is founder and CEO/President of the Idaho Technology Council, the voice from industry focused on developing the innovative ecosystem in Idaho and helping technology in Idaho and the region start, grow, and thrive. Larsen is a native Idahoan who obtained his BA from Brigham Young University and his MBA from Boise State University. Telecommunication has been the industry where Jay spent 22 years of his career, with start-up long distance companies and has managed and led teams with U S WEST Cellular, AirTouch Cellular, Qwest Communication, and Verizon Wireless in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah. During these 22 years, Larsen led teams that pioneered and implemented new wireless technologies. He also managed through several mergers and acquisitions. He has served on a U. S. Congressman’s staff as Director of Economic Development. Jay’s key areas of focus are organizational development, marketing, networks, innovation, and leadership. He has served on several boards focused on helping further Idaho talent and the development of innovation. Some of these boards are: Idaho Workforce Development Council, Idaho Strategic Energy Alliance, Boise State University CS Industry Advisory Board, Boise State University Foundation Board, Bronco Athletic Association, Boise State University College of Business and Economics Industry Advisory Board, INBRE Advisory Board, Idaho K-12 CS Leadership Team. vynyl Nick Crabbs is a partner and founding member of Vynyl, a product development firm that works with corporations, institutions, and investors to build unique mobile and web applications that are technically excellent, visually appealing, and create real & measurable business value. Prior to his work with Vynyl, Nick spent nearly a decade working for some of the nation's largest banking institutions, local municipalities, and large enterprise environments as an IT specialist and manager. Embracing his more entrepreneurial endeavors, community engagement and tech evangelism, Nick has worked with several start-ups, local community organizations and leadership with large-scale events to leverage his knowledge and expertise in technology, management and recruiting to judge events, offer mentorship, speak on panels, and contribute to a growing tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Nick serves on the board of directors of The Saint Alphonsus Foundation, Meridian Technical Charter High School and HealthTech Idaho. He is an advisor to Boise State Venture College, the Boise State computer science department, and Women Innovators (W.IN). in time tech Rob was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho and graduated from Vallivue High School. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an MBA from Boise State University, and a master's degree in Information Technology with a Specialization in System Design and Development from Capella University. Currently, Rob is a VP of R&D for In Time Tec based in Meridian, Idaho. He oversees projects in web development, mobile app development, cloud computing, DevOps, QA, test automation, and Cyber Security. Rob and his wife have 3 adult children and one teenager. He loves to mountain bike as he's currently the head coach of a local youth mountain bike team. BYP DEI Chair & brs architects Victor is a project manager at BRS Architects, where he has worked since August of 2014, after receiving his master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho. You can find Victor working on a wide range of project types including retail, industrial, and commercial. Victor is committed to giving back to the community. He is an active board member on two non-profit organizations (Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation & Treasure Valley Children’s Theater), constantly volunteering with various groups and participating in educational construction and design events throughout the valley. Victor is the 2023-24 Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Chair, At-Large, for the Chamber’s Boise Young Professionals program (BYP). Natalie has over 7 years of recruitment experience in various industries including: healthcare, technology, marketing, and many more. Most recently, she has managed full cycle recruitment and onboarding processes as well as educating diversity, equity, and inclusive best hiring practices internally. Dan Berger (pronounced Don) is an American-Israeli entrepreneur, investor, and forthcoming author.
As the Founder of The Belonging Project, a multi-pronged endeavor to address our country's loneliness epidemic through multiple ventures, including the forthcoming book, The Quest: The Definitive Guide to Finding Belonging. Previously, Dan was the Founder and former CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based Social Tables, which was acquired in October 2018 by Cvent (NASDAQ: CVT), a Vista-backed company, for $100mm. Founded in 2011, Social Tables was a software company that served hospitality and event professionals. The award-winning platform has been used to organized millions of events annually. At the time of sale, the company had $20M in revenue, 120 employees, and over 6,000 customers. Backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, amongst others, Social Tables raised over $20M. Dan has been the recipient of many hospitality industry acccolades, including the Pacesetter Award from the Events Industry Council. Dan has started multiple community-based organizations in Idaho, including The Idaho Supports Israeli Coalition, which garners support for Israel and fights antisemitism in the state. He has been an active member of YPO since 2014. Prior to Social Tables, Dan worked in management consulting, served a Member of Congress, and ran a boutique web design agency.
