Students Stop by the Chamber

While the Boise Metro Chamber receives a lot of inquisitive walk-in visitors (and phone calls), few are ever this young. Yesterday afternoon, a group of seventh grade students from Anser Public Charter School stopped by our office with clipboards in hand. They wanted to know- "What makes Boise so much better than other cities?" Our Senior Vice-President Ray Stark was more than happy to tell them why Boise is special, and what the Chamber does for the city's business community. 

STEM Students to Show Off Summer Projects

STEM, or Science Technology Engineering and Math, was the focus of a week long summer camp for students grades 1-12, held this week in Boise.  Campers completed various projects, from robotics to programming, and will present their work to the community on June 19th at the Foothills School downtown.  Students created robots, designed apps, and built quadcopters, all from scratch.  Representatives from the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Boise State University, Startup Grind Boise, the Idaho Technology Council, parents and other community members will be there to show their suppo

Boise Metro Chamber Endorses West Ada School District Bond Levy

The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce today endorsed the West Ada School District bond levy up for a vote on March 10th. The $96 million dollar bond would provide for the construction of four new schools to ease the overcrowding problems at many West Ada School District middle and high schools.
