Leadership Boise (LB), a program of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, last week announced their class of 2016. As one of the longest-running, Chamber-sponsored leadership programs in the United States, LB has graduated more than 1,400 business and civic leaders since its inception in 1976.

Olympic Gold Medalist Dara Torres to Headline Chamber’s 131st Annual Gala Dinner

The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce today announced that Olympic gold medalist swimmer Dara Torres will headline the Chamber’s 131st Annual Gala Dinner on Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 at the Boise Centre. Torres competed in five Summer Olympic Games, becoming the first U.S. swimmer to ever do so, as well as the oldest swimmer to ever compete at age 41.

Transportation Committee Receives Update on Broadway Bridge Replacement Project

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is currently planning for the replacement of the Broadway Avenue Bridge over the Boise River. The bridge, originally built in 1892 and replaced once in 1956, is too narrow for the 24,500 cars that travel across the bridge daily, in addition to pedestrians and bicyclists.
