Hero2Hired (H2H) Event Focuses on Hiring Veterans

Often, U.S. soldiers returning home from Iraq, Afghanistan, and other tours of duty struggle to find jobs. Veterans aren't always sure how to market the skills they acquired in the military as they apply for conventional jobs, although they have many unique skills that translate very well.

Say Cheese, Boise

Looking for the perfect photo of Boise to use for a desktop background? Blog post? Facebook cover photo? The Chamber's Flickr page is FULL of beautiful photos of the City of Trees at its finest, and there are NO restrictions on their usage!

NEW 2014-15 Boise Valley Spotlight

In case you haven't heard (or haven't had a chance to pick yours up from the Chamber), the newest edition of our annual Spotlight magazine and member directory has arrived. If you are already a member of the Chamber, your business received your complimentary copies courtesy of our Operation Thank You volunteers a couple of weeks ago.

Happy Friday!

Our membership representatives love to celebrate new members every Friday by "ringing the gong" for each company that joins the Chamber that week.

PacificSource Hosts Business After Hours to Wrap Up Operation Thank You

After a busy day of coordinating over 100 volunteer members who delivered packets to 1,800 members, Operation Thank You volunteers and Chamber members enjoyed a well-attended Business After Hours at PacificSource Health Plans. The event was made even more enjoyable by the uncharacteristically cool July weather, which PacificSource joked they had ordered for the evening.

An Open Letter of Thanks to Rep. Simpson for Supporting Brand USA

On behalf of our Travel Industry Advisory Board and our more than 1,820 members, the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Rep. Mike Simpson for his support of H.R. 4450, the Travel Promotion, Enhancement, and Modernization Act of 2014. We were pleased to hear that the bill passed the House yesterday and the Senate version could be up for consideration as early as this week.
