The Education & Workforce Committee adopted the following mission statement:  

"Southwest Idaho will be internationally recognized as the place where business, education and government work together to develop a skilled, diverse and responsive workforce that will enhance business profitability and build quality communities."

The committee's Vision and strategy are supported by three main goals:  

• Identify best practices by generating 2-way dialogue between the education and the business community
• Promote relevance in education by forming partnerships between businesses and the area educators
• Advocate educational policies that will result in an efficient and effective transfer of skills from the classroom to the workplace.
