Military Family Housing upgrades

• New units: 257 by Spring 2004 (1,475 housing units are on base)
• 60 now completed and filled with families
• May 2003 - 46 new units ready for families
• Total funding:  $129.6 million through FY 2005

Multi-year contracts established: 17 subcontracts issued to local firms (Mountain Home and Boise)

Trades include: demolition, concrete, plumbing, HVAC, natural gas distribution, termite control, reinforcing steel, roofing, garage doors, painting, masonry and asphalt.

AF spending almost $70 million in the next 36 months at Mountain Home Air Force Base for housing upgrades.
