Enhance your visit to the Boise-Nampa MSA by attending any one of the many live performances from the thriving dance, theater, instrumental, and vocal group venues.

Ballet Idaho performs September through March and theater companies offer a variety of performances, many suitable for the whole family. The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is home to the Boise Philharmonic with nationally known guest artists visiting through its sellout concert season, September through May. The Morrison Center also graciously hosts touring companies offering ballet, opera, musical theater, plus big-name entertainment productions.

The Boise Art Museum with its significant permanent collection, guest lecturers, visiting artists, and shows of local, regional, and national artists connects the area with the finest contemporary work available. Community Arts organizations have long thrived in Caldwell. The region’s newest multipurpose building – the extraordinary Hispanic Cultural Center in Nampa – has just joined the existing programs of art and culture in Canyon County.

The arts also flourish on the campuses of The College of Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University, and Boise State University. The numerous murals and public sculpture located throughout Downtown Boise and on the college campuses speak to Boiseans’ love of public art. Even traditionally mundane bus benches now have bold graphics honoring the community.
