The Chamber Drop Down MenuStay
In 2006, the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce launched the Boise Young Professionals (BYP) program as an initiative to target the young, talented, future workforce of the surrounding Boise region. BYP was created to be an inclusive group designed to develop, attract new and retain existing young talent in the region.
So who are these “young professionals”? BYP is mainly comprised of the 21- to 40-year-old population, but is open to any “young-thinking” or “young-at-heart” professional. BYP is a collection of entrepreneurs, non-profit workers, bankers, attorneys, engineers, artists, and just about any profession in the surrounding Boise community.
BYP has an individual annual membership of only $55, $27.50 for students or spouse add-on, and is separate from the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce. Members receive weekly eNews, special invitations to events, discounted event prices, and opportunities to get involved in several work teams.

BYP CELEBRATES ITS 10TH YEAR
Ten years ago, an enthusiastic group of dreamers saw an opportunity to collaborate with their peers and the community. They designed an organization that would connect, empower and engage young professionals in Boise.
Since then, Boise Young Professionals has become an asset to the Treasure Valley. BYP members grow through professional development, civic engagement and networking opportunities. All of these connect with the organization’s mission to attract, develop and retain a talented workforce .
And in 2016, it’s going to get even better.
January is the kickoff of BYP10—a 10-month celebration of Boise Young Professionals’ 10-year anniversary. Each month will feature an event designed to empower existing BYP members, engage new young professionals and position BYP as a group of young thought leaders.
