Why Oregonians Love Idaho

The Chamber's affiliate, the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP),  just shared an article many Boiseans might be able to identify with. Whether they've relocated from the Beaver State or just have a favorite vacation spot  (the rocky coast, culturally hip epicenter Portland, or the charming, laidback mountain town of Bend are a few of ours), it's no secret that Idahoans love Oregon. But what is it that Oregonians like about Idaho?

The Oregonian's recent article "Idaho: Why Oregonians Love It" showcases 24 stunning photos from the Oregonian Media Group's internal library (including the one of Twin Falls pictured here), and declares Idaho as "a good neighbor to have." Idaho has something for all types of outdoor enthusiasts, what with its varied natural scenery (mountains, lakes, rivers, deserts) and recreation (hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting). For any readers who don't consider themselves "the outdoor type", the author says of our own City of the Trees: "Boise has blossomed into one of the intermountain West's most vibrant urban centers." The author promises additional features about his travels in Idaho in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

It's always nice to hear from our friendly neighbors.
