Leadership Boise & Leadership Boise Academy Help Zoo Boise

As part of their annual service project, members of the Leadership Boise Class of 2016 and the Leadership Boise Academy Class of 2015 will lend their time and talent on Saturday, April 25th to help improve the visitor experience at Zoo Boise. Both Leadership Boise and Leadership Boise Academy are programs of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Alongside Zoo staff and long-time volunteers, roughly 80 volunteers from Leadership Boise and Leadership Boise Academy will be on hand to improve and enhance existing garden elements through seven projects. These projects include re-barking and planting animal exhibits, painting, and installing fence posts for the Small Animal Holding Center. In addition to contributing manual labor, the group is also fundraising for Zoo Boise.
Zoo Boise is a service of the City of Boise and is supported by the Friends of Zoo Boise, a 501(c)(3) membership organization that supports Zoo Boise in the area of animal acquisition, capital improvement projects, education programs, volunteer opportunities, and special events. The goal of each of these components is to increase public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the zoo, wild animals, animal habitats, species conservation, and the environment. More information can be found at www.zooboise.org.
The LB Service Project is presented by Bodybuilding.com. The lunch sponsor is KeyBank; overall project sponsors are Clear Voice Telecom, Xtreme Consulting, and St. Luke’s; and water is sponsored by Washington Trust Bank. Additional sponsors include Northwest Bank, Summit Dental, and the Idaho Community Foundation along with support from Jeanette Zorich, AARP, and CH2M Hill.
