LB Class of 2015 Kicks Off Legislative Session with Tour of Capitol

January was a busy month for the Boise Chamber, as is usually the case with the start of Idaho's Legislative Session. The Idaho Legislature convenes at the Idaho State Capitol and meets annually from January into March or April.

Amidst organizing and assisting with the Chamber's annual Legislative Forum and Chamber Days at the Legislature, our own Jackie Wright provided a guided tour of the Capitol building to Leadership Boise's Class of 2016 last week. Having previously worked at the Capitol, Jackie was a wealth of interesting information and answered the group's numerous questions about the building itself and the state's legislative process. The class was even in the Capitol on the same day as the House State Affairs Committee's hearing for Add the Words.

The Chamber loves to see our staff so involved with the excitement the Legislative Session brings to Boise, and we're proud to have Leadership Boise represented by such engaged citizens.
