Junior Achievement of Idaho Celebrates 60 Years of Empowering Students

Junior Achievement (JA) has been giving students the skills they need to be entrepreneurial, competitive, and successful in the world for 60 years.  They offer classes on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.  Volunteers work with students from around the Treasure Valley in grades K-12.  In a classroom setting or a one on one mentoring situation, JA teachers and volunteers work to educate students on real life skills.  Balancing a checkbook, working in an office, investing, and more are all part of the curriculum.  JA has been working to empower students since 1955.

Junior Achievement will celebrate 60 years in operation at Payette Brewing (111 W. 33rd St., Garden City) on June 29th, from 5:30 to 8pm.  The celebration will be a Kegs 4 Kause fundraiser.  Kegs 4 Kause is a recurring event, hosted by Payette Brewing, that gives back to a featured nonprofit by donating 50% of the profits from that evening’s beer sales.  Pizza will be available from IL Segreto Wood Fired Pizza Food Truck and dessert and raffle prizes will be provided.  Live music performed by Blaze and Kelly will complete the celebration.

Congratulations on 60 years of service Junior Achievement of Idaho!
