Grand Openings with the Boise Chamber

Did you know that the Boise Chamber will help members promote their businesses' grand openings?

Whether companies would prefer to do a ribbon cutting, open house, or ground-breaking ceremony, we advertise the upcoming event in our weekly eNewsBoise Metro Connection monthly printed newsletter, and on our website. The company's assigned membership representative is on hand to answer any questions about organizing the grand opening, and will even provide a thorough booklet complete with intructions on formatting a press release, public service announcement, helpful advertising tips, and even referrals for caterers, music and entertainment vendors, event planners, venues, and florists. The booklet also includes contact information for Ada County elected officials and media contacts, so members can create additional buzz around their special day.

The Chamber sends a list of all scheduled grand openings to our Ambassador Committee so that our members will be sure to show their support by attending. For ribbon cuttings, a Chamber staff member will provide the ceremonial ribbon and oversized scissors for the occasion, as well as say a few words thanking the company for their Chamber membership and participation. Following the event, a photo taken by the member company at the ground-breaking, ribbon cutting, or open house will be circulated in our Chamber publications, as well as our social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Sometimes our members like to use a special occasion like a grand opening to do a little good for the community, too. Corporate Office Installations will host an open house Friday, May 29 and local non-profit organization AJ's Angels, a pediatric cancer foundation, will be in attendance to collect children's books and toys for the pediatric ward at St. Luke's. The event will also feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, along with refreshments, local wines, door prizes from In the Bag Promotions, and a few words from College of Idaho's President Marv Henberg.
