Friday Phone Calls, Part 5

Fall is a busy season in Boise, and it's a busy time of year for the Boise Metro Chamber as well. Our phone lines have been ringing off the hook this week, but not all the callers had questions about our upcoming Gala...

  • There were a bunch of signs up for Dairy Days, and they took them down Friday night, but they left one sign up and it fell down so it’s blocking my driveway. Do you know if they’re going to come pick that up anytime soon?”
  • "There’s a house in my neighborhood that burned down about six months ago, and it’s a horrible eyesore that’s just sitting there, and I need to know what the city’s going to do about it."
  • "I need to know how in tarnation to get into the Capitol!"
  • "I want to move to somewhere in Idaho outside of Boise that has lots of trees and places to fish- where would that be?"
  • "Hi, I’m sorry to bother you, but I’ve got an 'Obama phone' so I can’t call 411 for information."
  • "I don’t know who I’m supposed to call, but I saw on TV that the Giant Potato truck was missing and we found it!"
  • Caller: “I was looking through the Yellow Pages, and there’s a listing in here for Death By Murder with a phone number.”

          Reception: “And?”

Caller: “And I don’t think that should be in the phone book, so who should I call?”

          Reception: “The Yellow Pages?”

Caller: “Well, I think I should call the police!”

Reception: “Ok, well, call the police.”

Caller: “Do you know their number?”
