Dutch Bros. Doing Good

Dutch Bros. Coffee, a Chamber member since 2011, has locations all over the Treasure Valley and beyond.  When they aren’t serving up free smiles and a big variety of tasty coffee concoctions, Dutch Bros. works towards a bigger mission.  If you visit their website, you’ll find a list of all the news and events going on in the 200 coffee stand locations.  Most of the news bits are not about grand openings or promotional events, but about charity.

This summer, in locations around the Treasure Valley, Dutch Bros. has held fundraisers for a high school student with mounting medical bills and a program designed to help homeless students find temporary housing.  They also donated free drinks to wild land fire fighters, partnered with the United Way for a book drive, and participated in larger fundraisers to combat muscular dystrophy.  This is in addition to donating items for Boise Young Professionals, Boise Chamber events, and various other fundraisers.  Up in North Idaho, Dutch Bros. raised money for the family of a fallen police officer.  In Washington, the local coffee stand there donated $1 of every drink sold to a family of girls who lost their parents in a car accident.  Money has been raised in California for a boy with a rare type of cancer.  In Arizona, the recipient of a fundraiser was a struggling elementary school.

It’s hard not to notice all the good Dutch Bros. has been doing.  Along with their big smiles and great attitudes, employees strive to make their communities a better place.  Thank you Dutch Bros. for keeping our community caffeinated.  More importantly though, thank you for contributing to so many important causes.  Sometimes it’s about so much more than a cup of coffee.
