Chamber Members 'chill' out together at Chamber Day at Bogus Basin

For the fifth year, the Boise Chamber teamed up with Bogus Basin to host our members for a snow day! More than 200 members attended the event and enjoyed the mountainsides on skis, snowboards, and snowshoes.

Bogus Basin Recreational Association, Inc. is a 501 c(3) charitable organization created by the Boise community in 1942 and currently celebrating their 75th anniversary! Since then, their mission has been to engage the community and provide accessible, affordable, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. With record-breaking snowfall this winter, Bogus Basin has been a haven for winter athletes in and around the Treasure Valley. The Chamber and its members enjoyed fresh powder as well on Thursday, February 2.

We kicked off the afternoon with a hosted lunch and welcome message from Bill Connors, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce CEO, and Brad Wilson, Bogus Basin's General Manager. Brad shared the history and legacy of Bogus Basin and the support its had from Treasure Valley residents since the beginning. With that in mind, members and Chamber staff took to the mountain to enjoy all Bogus Basin has to offer for skiiers, snowboarders, and snowshowers alike.

Time flew by too quickly as members made their way back to Pioneer Lodge to refuel with snacks and beverages. Winners of the downhill ski race were also announced and, drumroll please, six Chamber members and staff were recognized! Congratulations to Paul Fleming (Boise Chamber), Michel Bourgeau (Saint Alphonsus Health System), and Dylan Moss (Collins Engineers, Inc.) who took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the men's category and Duree Westover (Experis), Kim Hovren (Bogus Basin Ski Club Inc.), and Karena Boesel (Boise Chamber) who also placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the women's category.

Thank you to all of our members who joined us for yet again another successful Chamber Day at Bogus Basin!
