Yesterday morning, the Chamber hosted a press conference with the Boise Hawks to announce a 4-year deal with the Colorado Rockies and new ownership of the team, Agon Sports and Entertainment. The Hawks' co-owner, Chris Schoen, also mentioned that the team is definitely considering locations for a new ballpark, as Memorial Stadium, the Hawks' home base since 1989, is outdated, not disability-compliant, and renovations would cost upwards of $13 million.

"The when and where of a stadium have yet to be worked out", Eiseman and Schoen said Tuesday at the press conference. According to the Idaho Statesman's coverage of the event, "Agon is looking at the potential of a partnership between the company and governments around the city to build a mixed-use development that would include commercial and possibly residential space in addition to the stadium." Co-owner Chris Schoen added that Boise's West End has great potential for being an ideal location for a new stadium.
